Position Overview

CK Transportation is seeking experienced CDL A drivers in Atlanta, GA (30303) to join our dedicated Midwest regional team. Our operations focus on shorter hauls that provide predictable routes and consistent home time, ideal for professional drivers who prioritize performance, efficiency, and work-life balance.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a CDL A driver, you will manage strategically planned Midwest regional routes averaging approximately 2,100 miles per week. Operations emphasize drop-and-hook efficiency to optimize driving time while maintaining high operational standards. Drivers are expected to demonstrate professionalism and adherence to safety regulations at all times.

Compensation and Benefits

Drivers at CK Transportation earn between $1,200 and $1,300 weekly, supported by minimum pay guarantees to protect income against operational fluctuations. In addition, our performance-driven incentives reward safe driving, fuel efficiency, and consistent route execution. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, prescription coverage, 401k matching, vacation and holiday pay, and per diem allowances.

Equipment and Technology

Operate modern fleet trucks, including 2016 or newer International Pro Stars, Freightliner Cascadias, and Kenworth models equipped with 10-speed manual transmissions. Trucks feature 1500-watt inverters and Opti-idle programs to enhance efficiency and driver comfort. Take-home truck options are available for qualified candidates with secure parking.

Schedule and Home Time

Our scheduling structure ensures drivers receive at least 34 hours of home time per week, including multiple weekend breaks and mid-week flexibility. This approach supports work-life balance while maintaining steady productivity.

Qualifications

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and possess a minimum of six months of recent tractor-trailer experience or one year within the last three years. Drivers should have experience operating at least 48-foot tractors and demonstrate a commitment to professional performance standards.
