Hernando Animal Clinic and Surgery Center is excited to announce that we’ve moved into our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility right here in Hernando, MS! We’re looking for a Full-Time Kennel Technician to join our compassionate, dedicated veterinary team.

At Hernando Animal Clinic and Surgery Center , we provide exceptional veterinary care to the pets of DeSoto County and the surrounding communities. Our team offers a full range of services including preventive care, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics—all delivered with compassion and excellence.

Hours of Operation :

Monday – Friday : 7 : 30 AM – 5 : 30 PM

Saturday : 8 : 00 AM – 12 : 00 PM

Sunday : Closed

The Kennel Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of all animals in our care. This position is perfect for individuals who love animals, enjoy working in a team environment, and take pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and positive atmosphere.

You’ll work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and client service representatives to provide the highest level of care and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily care and attention to dogs, cats, and other pets, including feeding, watering, bathing, and exercising.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in all kennel, hospital, and boarding areas.
• Observe animals for signs of stress, illness, or injury and report changes in behavior or condition to veterinary staff promptly.
• Assist with restraining and handling animals safely during treatments, exams, and grooming.
• Support veterinary technicians and assistants as needed during patient care.

Clean cages, runs, and hospital equipment using proper sanitation procedures.
