    Role Overview

    The Canopy IT Specialist I provides frontline technical support for the credit union, resolving help desk tickets with initiative and critical thinking to ensure minimal downtime for member-facing systems. This role primarily focuses on troubleshooting end-user issues while occasionally maintaining servers, network devices, and infrastructure components. The specialist collaborates with the IT team to identify root causes and implement efficient solutions in a secure, regulated environment. Success requires proactive problem-solving and adaptability across support and network administration tasks.

    Job Responsibilities

  • Provides first and second level end user support for software applications, hardware and peripheral devices by utilizing help desk software to manage and resolve issues
  • Supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and software problems pertaining to the Local Area Network in a Windows environment
  • Recommends and schedules hardware repairs. Implements and maintains desktop hardware and software using a variety of techniques. Is responsible for keeping firmware and software levels current by working with the vendors to understand what is available and migrating applicable changes into production in a controlled, secure manner
  • Uses management tools to support remote users and deploy, monitor and debug desktop applications through-out the company's Wide Area Network
  • Responsible for change management for all changes made to system components in a manner that allows for notification to affected parties and that allows for recovery from the change in the event it is necessary. Responsible for documenting procedures for deploying products in are of responsibility in a manner such that future deployment and redeployments are repeatable with a high degree of success
  • Assists the IT Manager with server maintenance and WAN support
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
  • Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager
  • Compensation details : 23.8-28 Hourly Wage
