Tax Transformation And Automation Senior Associate
As the Tax Transformation And Automation Senior Associate, you will work with large publicly owned and private companies to evaluate existing processes and challenges across the tax function, make recommendations for improvements, and follow through with tax process design and solution implementation for your clients, across a wide variety of industries all with the resources, environment and support to help you excel. You will collaborate with team members, practice leadership, and our diverse client base as well as play a key role in supporting project planning and management, delivery, testing, and go-live assistance of these engagements because together is how we succeed. From day one, you'll be empowered by working with a team of professionals and dealing with day-to-day activities to ensure that projects are on time and within budget, based on the project's scope, to meet client needs and help you achieve more, confidently.
Your day-to-day may include :
- Participating in several active projects
- Develop and deliver key project documentation including requirements documents, design documents, and test plans
- Assist Project Managers for third-party tax software implementations (ex : Corptax, ONESOURCE, Oracle TRCS, Longview, Bloomberg) and custom software development projects
- Gaining knowledge of data management and data analytics concepts
- Building a strong foundational understanding of tax concepts
- Working closely with clients to gather feedback on their issues and translating to Grant Thornton service offerings that support their overall tax objectives; team with tax subject matter specialists to bring complete professional expertise to our clients
- Other duties as assigned
You have the following technical skills and qualifications :
Bachelor of Arts / Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related fieldTwo- four years of public accounting, consulting, or industry experienceSecondary degree or minor in : Management Information Systems (MIS), computer science, or data analytics, is preferredCertified Public Accountant or other professional designation is preferredExperience with tax technical matters (I.e.) Accounting for Income Taxes (ASC 740), corporate consolidated returns, partnership returnsExperience with tax technology such as Corptax, ONESOURCE, Oracle TRCS, Longview, BloombergExperience with data analytics, transformation, and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Microsoft Power BI, TableauStrong computer skills requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to travel as needed. Expect up to 40% travelThe base salary range for this position in our Chicago, IL office only is between $96,000 to $144,000.The base salary range for this position in our Newport Beach, CA, Bellevue, WA and New York, NY office only is between $103,700 to $155,500.The base salary range for this position in our San Francisco and San Jose only is between $110,400 to $165,000.
