Job description

We are seeking a highly qualified Hematology / Oncology Physician to join a thriving and well-established practice located in a scenic area of eastern Iowa. This full-time position offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive care in a professionally managed facility with state-of-the-art equipment and resources.

Position Highlights :

  • Specialty Focus : Approximately 30% Hematology and 70% Medical Oncology.
  • Schedule :

Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM.

  • Minimal after-hours call handled via phone only.
  • Weekend requirements to be determined.
  • Patient Volume : Average of 30 patients per day, primarily adult and geriatric.
  • Support Team : Includes RNs, medical assistants, CNAs, and administrative staff.
  • Hospitalist Support : Available for infusion care if needed.
  • Collaborative Environment : Access to onsite radiation oncology services through a university partnership and a robust primary care referral network.

  • Facility : Modern, professionally managed center attached to the hospital, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Community : Situated near the Mississippi River, the area offers charming small-town living with outdoor activities, cultural events, and historical attractions.

    • Candidate Requirements :

  • Certifications : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology (within 5 years of residency).
  • Licensing : Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Iowa medical license.
  • Experience : Clean malpractice record preferred.
  • Visa Status : Cannot accept visa candidates.
