Director of Technology & Cybersecurity

POSITION SUMMARY :

The Dallas Mavericks are seeking an experienced Director of Technology & Cybersecurity who will be developing and implementing technology and cybersecurity strategies, managing IT infrastructure and staff, ensuring data security, and aligning technology initiatives with business goals.

JOB FUNCTION :

• Strategy and planning : Develop and implement the organization's overall technology and cybersecurity strategy, policies, and procedures.
• Risk management : Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability tests, and monitor security incidents to protect against cyber threats.
• Incident response : Lead the effort to respond to security breaches and coordinate recovery plans.
• IT infrastructure : Oversee the management of hardware, software, and networks to ensure security, integrity, and availability.
• Team and budget management : Manage the IT and cybersecurity teams, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation, as well as developing and managing the IT budget.
• Compliance : Ensure the organization adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to technology and data protection.
• Collaboration : Work with executive leadership and other departments to identify technological needs and ensure alignment with business objectives
