Description :

The position is for a PACU RN.

Shifts are 3x12 days, with hours from 06 : 00 to 18 : 30 and 07 : 00 to 19 : 30.

1-2 shifts per week will be closing shifts, scheduled from 07 : 00 to 19 : 30.

Closing shifts are assigned to 2 RNs who remain until the last patient is discharged from the recovery space.

Closers are responsible for securing the area for the evening.

The average daily census in the PACU is 30 with 14 beds.

Pre / Post RNs prepare patients for procedures and supervise recovery post-procedure.

They perform loop recorder implants, TEEs, and cardioversion procedures.

Pre / Post EP includes assisting with loop recorder implants, TEEs, and cardioversion, with approximately 8-10 of these procedures daily.

RNs educate patients before procedures.

They assist in the procedure by documenting and conducting bubble studies for TEEs.

95% of cases require anesthesia support, but some TEEs may involve procedural sedation.

This skill is beneficial but not mandatory.

Post-procedure, RNs recover patients and either discharge them home or transport inpatients back to their rooms.

The work setting includes both ambulatory and inpatient care.

There are no on-call shifts or weekend requirements.

RNs may float within their service line to meet facility needs.
