Physical Therapist Assistant Job Details

Location : Carmichael, CA 95608 – Sacramento region; ideal for candidates seeking California PTA jobs in a vibrant suburban community with access to cultural attractions and outdoor activities.

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (October 20, 2025 – January 18, 2026)

Schedule : 8-hour day shifts, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM

Work Days : Flexible schedule – choose Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Employment Type : Travel, On-Site

Estimated weekly salary : $1,510–$1,630

PTA Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) certification required

Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA in an inpatient rehab or hospital setting preferred

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Strong communication and organizational skills

Dedication to providing high-quality patient care in a clinical environment

Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities

Assist Physical Therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients in an inpatient hospital setting

Support patient rehabilitation by helping individuals regain mobility, strength, and independence

Document patient progress and collaborate with the clinical rehab team

Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and home care routines

Maintain a safe, positive, and effective therapeutic environment
