We're Grease Monkey Garage. We are a mobile automotive diagnostics and repair company specializing in ADAS calibrations, electrical diagnostics, and programming services. Our primary clients are body, automotive repair, and transmission shops that need expert-level support for diagnostics, calibrations, and programming.
As we expand into the Chicago area, we're looking for a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a fast-growing company that plans to expand into 10+ markets in the next 2–3 years.
What You'll Do :
- Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs for a variety of vehicles.
- Work directly with body shops, auto repair shops, and transmission shops that rely on our expertise for ADAS calibrations, programming, and electrical diagnostics.
- Calibrate ADAS systems (we'll teach you if you're unfamiliar, as long as you're a quick learner).
- Use factory software for programming and diagnostics—experience with at least one manufacturer's system is preferred.
- Deliver high-quality service to our clients with minimal supervision.
- Represent our company's values of professionalism, reliability, and technical excellence.
What to Expect During Training :
You'll participate in two weeks of paid training in Saint Louis, MO, before the Chicago area launch.Training will cover our systems, tools, processes, and client interactions to ensure you're ready to deliver expert-level service. During the first two weeks of operations in Chicago, you'll work alongside a technician from our St. Louis team for additional support and onboarding.Hotel accommodations will be provided during training unless you prefer to stay with family or bring your family along (we're flexible and happy to support your needs,some restrictions apply).What We're Looking For :
ASE Certified (A1–A8) – this is a must.Strong experience in vehicle diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting.Familiarity with factory programming software (experience with one or more manufacturers preferred).Quick learner willing to dive into ADAS calibrations and other advanced systems (training provided).A self-motivated, independent worker who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.A valid driver's license and clean driving record.What We Offer : -Full-Time -Monday to Friday (occasional flexibility may be required)
