About The Position We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a 12-week locum tenens assignment at a Trauma Center in Texas, starting Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity features ongoing 24-hour shifts (4x24) and offers the chance to work with a diverse patient population in a low-volume, low-acuity environment. Job Details Location : Texas Facility Type : Trauma Center Start Date : Jan 5, 2026 LOA : 12 weeks Provider Type Needed : Emergency Medicine Physician Schedule : 4x24 ongoing; 24-hour shifts from 7am to 7am Responsibilities and Duties Provide emergency care in a Trauma Center with ER beds Manage a case mix of approximately 30% trauma, 20% pediatrics, and 50% geriatric patients Perform common procedures such as suturing and be prepared for lifesaving interventions as needed Collaborate with robust specialist support, including 24 / 7 hospitalist program, OB and first assist, and tele-support for cardiology, neurology, stroke, and psychiatry Coordinate referrals to higher-level centers as appropriate Utilize Medhost EMR system for documentation Additional Information Texas medical license required Trauma experience preferred Board certification not required Very low patient volume and acuity Must be comfortable with pediatric and geriatric populations Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
