Strategic Accounts Manager, Industrial Bearings

A day in the role

It’s Monday morning in Grafton, WI—about 30 minutes north of Milwaukee. You review your account plans, confirm shipment schedules with Customer Service, and jump on a call with our Engineering team to shape a conceptual solution for a compressor OEM. By mid-day, you’re leading a proposal presentation to a multi-level customer audience—procurement, engineering, and management—showing how our engineered bearing solutions improve performance and reduce lifecycle cost. In the afternoon, you qualify a new opportunity inside a strategic account, align pricing with market dynamics, update your forecast, and share insights with the Sales Director.

What you’ll do

  • Own executive-to-engineer relationships within key accounts to advance Miba’s value proposition and ensure loyalty.
  • Build and execute revenue- and margin-focused account strategies and multi-year plans.
  • Oversee order fulfillment, technical requests, delivery timelines, and commercial issue resolution in partnership with Customer Service, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities within existing customers; screen prospects that fit our strategy and guide them from pre-sales through negotiation and post-sale support.
  • Track market drivers, competitive moves, customer initiatives, and industry trends to inform tactics and pricing.
  • Connect Operations, Engineering, and Marketing around customer needs to foster an outside-in mindset and deliver solutions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on conceptual designs and lead proposal presentations to stakeholders.
  • Implement pricing approaches and negotiate contracts that create value for customers and Miba.
  • Maintain current account plans, sales forecasts, and performance reporting; brief leadership regularly.
  • Influence marketing efforts that raise brand recognition and visibility in target segments.
  • Champion Miba’s vision and values in every interaction.
  • Perform other duties as required.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years in technical sales; experience with turbomachinery, rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines), or fluid film bearings is a plus.
  • Proven ability to create and sustain long-term customer partnerships.
  • Confident, technically savvy self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Fluency in consultative selling and complex deal management.
  • A listener, presenter, and people-person who rallies cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using AI-enabled tools.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

    Based in Grafton, WI (approx. 30 minutes north of Milwaukee). Reports to the Sales Director.
