Accounting Supervisor Position Description

Our client is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to guide their accounting team, strengthen financial operations, and champion process improvements that drive efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day accounting activities while mentoring a talented team and ensuring financial integrity. Your responsibilities will include :
- Team Leadership – Supervise, coach, and develop accountants and clerks, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Financial Oversight – Manage daily accounting functions including standard cost / variance analysis, inventory transactions, and operational analysis.
- Reporting & Compliance – Ensure accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in accordance with GAAP and other regulations; enhance reporting and data analysis capabilities.
- Process Optimization – Identify and implement improvements to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across accounting operations.
- Audit & Controls – Partner with internal and external auditors; establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
- Planning & Budgeting – Support operating budgets, forecasting, financial analysis, and capital expenditure (CapEx) planning.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple prioritiesERP system experience required; exposure to OneStream, Dynamics 365, and Jet Reports preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills; Power BI experience a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organizationMeticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to work both independently and as a team leaderCPA or CMA certification (or progress toward certification) preferredCompensation :
Compensation plan is heavily bonus oriented. Bonuses are paid monthly, quarterly and annually.Base salary is $75,000 and OTE – including above bonuses – is $115,0000.Why Join
