District Dispatcher Job Responsibilities :
The District Dispatcher will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient communication between drivers and the operations team. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to providing excellent service. The District Dispatcher will be responsible for scheduling multiple locations within the district.
District Dispatcher Job Duties :
- Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for drivers, ensuring accuracy and maintaining a two-week schedule at all times
- Extensive collaboration with Operations and Branch Managers to ensure proper utilization rates are maintained
- Communicate effectively with drivers using phone systems to provide real-time updates
- Monitor fleet operations and manage day-to-day activities
- Input and maintain accurate data in dispatching system
- Respond promptly to any issues or delays that arise during transportation
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the supply chain
- Work closely with the Finance Department, ie Billers and Operations Specialists, to ensure expeditious and accurate invoicing
- On-Call bi-weekly

Education and Experience :
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively relay informationProficiency in logistics management and supply chain processesExperience with fleet management systemsExperience with data entry and maintaining accurate recordsFamiliarity with Acumatica and Wastelinq, Microsoft 365 or similar software is requiredBasic understanding of environmental response route optimization is a plusAbility to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneouslyEEO / AA Employer / Veteran / Disabled Statement : ??
