Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Briefing Attorney to join our nationally recognized team. This role is ideal for an attorney with a strong foundation in personal injury litigation, legal research, and motion practice. The position supports Houston-based trial teams and offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the United States. Must have Civil litigation experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist trial teams in preparing personal injury cases from case intake to trial or settlement.
- Draft persuasive briefs, including oppositions to defense motions, affirmative motions, complex demand letters.
- Conduct thorough legal research and jurisdictional analysis, primarily in Texas and Louisiana, with some nationwide cases.
- Collaborate with attorneys and litigation staff to maintain case momentum and meet deadlines.
- Attend trials 2–4 times per year to support live briefing needs (travel required).
- Work independently and manage multiple writing and research assignments simultaneously.
Trial Briefs (as needed during live proceedings)
During live trials, brief preparation continues to support proceedings.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.Active member in good standing with any U.S. state bar.Minimum of 2 years of post-law school experience in civil litigation or 1 year in a judicial clerkship.Demonstrated excellence in legal writing, motion drafting, and research.Strong familiarity with Texas and federal court rules; Louisiana experience is a plus.Plaintiff-side personal injury experience strongly preferred.High attention to detail and the ability to handle time-sensitive matters.Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365; experience with Filevine, SharePoint, OneDrive, or Microsoft Teams is a plus.Work Environment & Compensation
