Mechanical Estimator- urgent!

Mechanical Estimator

Highland Consulting Group, a construction specific recruiting firm specializing in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, has partnered with a stable and growing mechanical contractor in the Long Island, NY area to help find a Estimator . Will be responsible for overseeing the estimating process and estimating team to ensure that the department is meeting company goals and customer deadlines.

Will prepare, review and sign off on estimates and bids prior to submitting them to the customer.

Will manage and enhance the cost databases for improved estimating accuracy.

Will obtain pricing from vendors and subcontractors.

7+ years of estimating experience in commercial mechanical construction (HVAC, piping and controls) with a minimum of 3 years in a lead / management role.

~ Experience estimating projects of up to $10 million.

~ Computer software proficiency using Excel for estimating.

~ A four-year degree in construction management or a related field is preferred but not required.
