Labor & Delivery RN Job Details Location : Fairbanks, Alaska (99701) – Alaska healthcare jobs Assignment Type : Travel nursing assignment Unit : Labor & Delivery (LDRP – Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) Start Date : October 26, 2025 End Date : February 15, 2026 Duration : 16 weeks Shift : 12-hour day shifts Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $2520 - $2700 Free 1-bedroom housing included (pet units not available) Weekend Requirement : 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period On-Call Requirement : 3 shifts per 6-week period Time Off : Up to 14 days (including max 4 weekend shifts) may be requested at time of submittal Permanent residence must be 50 miles outside of Fairbanks Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications Active Alaska RN license (or in process at time of application preferred) Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a hospital setting Recent clinical experience in postpartum, couplet care, and circulating for C-Sections Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring Ability to float to all hospital departments as needed New graduate RNs are not eligible Preferred : 5 years of RN experience Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, couplet care, and triage settings Circulate for C-Sections and assist with deliveries (approx. 80 per month) Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes Float to other clinical departments as required Participate in on-call and weekend rotations per schedule Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care Discover the adventure of a travel nursing job in Fairbanks, Alaska—enjoy the Northern Lights, outdoor recreation, and a welcoming healthcare community while making a difference in the lives of mothers and newborns.
