Job descriptionProvide specialized nursing care to women throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal phases within a community hospital setting. Float as needed to assist with patient care across the Women’s and Children’s Unit, ensuring coverage during varying census and acuity levels. Initiate and participate in neonatal resuscitations, assign APGAR scores, and administer newborn medications post-delivery. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams utilizing Epic EMR to document patient care and facilitate smooth clinical operations. Support patient and family education, comfort, and safety during maternity care episodes. Work on a rotating every-other-week schedule with 24 / 7 call responsibilities, including holidays. Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience, including LDRP procedures. Valid BLS and NRP certifications; ACLS and PALS (or PEARS) preferred. Experience with Epic EMR system within the past 2 years is mandatory. Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred. Proven ability to independently manage all aspects of LDRP care in a community hospital environment. Reliable transportation, with a vehicle equipped for winter conditions (all-season or snow tires from November to April).
