Details Department : Critical Care Unit / PODS Sign-on Bonus Available Schedule : Full-time Night shift Hospital : Saint Thomas West Location : Nashville, TN Student Loan Assistance Available Our 58 bed Critical Care Unit (PODS) provides the highest level of care for the sickest patients in our area with a variety of diagnoses. Our major service lines include cardiothoracic surgery, neurology and neurosurgery. Our Critical Care Nurses care for 1-2 patients at a time. In our CCU, you will experience a fast paced environment with a supportive culture, all while cross-training on service lines and advanced therapies. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration : Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education : Diploma from an accredited school / college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. Additional Preferences No additional preferences.
