Senior Audit Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Audit Analyst for a great client of ours in the Kansas City area. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic direction and contribute to organizational success. You will collaborate across technical and business groups, quickly learn business nuances, and perform detailed analyses that drive improvements in risk management and compliance processes. The position involves working with IT, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to communicate complex analyses and solutions effectively.

Responsibilities :

Support the development and implementation of enterprise-wide operational risk and governance programs, including frameworks, methodologies, and tools for risk assessment, issue management, and ongoing monitoring.

Partner with compliance teams to maintain updated control processes and communicate the compliance framework to stakeholders.

Assess and test end-to-end technology processes, from planning and scope development through execution, ensuring effective risk management.

Design and evaluate business systems architecture and processes to manage IT and financial risks, leveraging standards such as NIST and COBIT.

Collaborate with IT and business teams to update SOX documentation and evaluate scoping of controls for new or modified systems.

Identify opportunities to automate controls through analytics and enhance risk mitigation efforts.

Validate IT data integrity and general controls, supporting audits of technology processes.

Investigate root causes of control issues, gain consensus on remediation plans, and oversee execution.

Monitor risks and controls continuously, providing risk reporting for leadership.

Perform additional duties or projects as assigned.

Essential Skills :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Accounting, Business, or related field.

27 years of experience in internal audit or compliance.

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced Excel, Visio, and Project.

Knowledge of internal audit and internal controls.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with Procurement & Supply Chain.

CISA certification preferred.

CISSP certification preferred.

Job Type & Location :

This is a permanent position based out of Overland Park, KS.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $81000.00 / yr.
