ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Houston, Texas.

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details : \n

  • Work in 9-bed Freestanding Emergency Department with 4 : 1 patient ratio

    • \n

  • Must work at least 2 weekend shifts every 2 weeks

    • \n

  • Work with limited staff managing high acuity patients until transfer

    • \n

  • Day shift and night shift positions available with 2 RNs per shift

    • \n

  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC

    • \n

  • 2 years ER experience in main ER required

    • \n

  • Experience working in designated trauma facility required

    • \n

  • Must be comfortable with team nursing approach in small crew environment

    • \n

  • Dress code : Royal blue scrubs required

    • \n

  • Experience with Freestanding ER preferred

    • \n

  • Paramedic license / certification preferred

    • \n

  • NRP certification preferred

    • \n

  • Experience with lab equipment preferred (Picolo, Istat, Triage Meter, ID Now, Clinitek)

    • \n

  • Perform procedures including chest tube placement, intubations, conscious sedations, wound repair, splinting with Orthoglass, nebulizer treatments, and ventilator management

    • \n

  • Work with equipment including Lucas Device, nurse-run lab, ventilator, CPAP / BiPap, Blanketrol, Lifepack 15

    • \n

  • Use Meditech EMR system

    • \n

  • No floating to other areas required
