Job Description :
We currently have a full time positions available as a school-based SLP. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality speech therapy services within an educational setting. You will be responsible for evaluating children across different grade levels, planning interventions, and developing instructional plans tailored to meet their specific functional and educational needs.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide ongoing treatment to assigned caseload
- Document, monitor, analyze, and report students’ progress and effects of treatment regularly in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures.
- Conduct educationally relevant evaluations and report findings within Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs)
- Write educationally relevant therapy goals and relevant student information background information within Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs)
- Attend and report evaluations findings and therapy recommendations in family friendly language during IEP and ETR meetings.
- Contribute to building a positive, supportive, and learning culture through collaboration and ongoing communication between school personnel and families.
- Maintenance and documentation of ongoing therapy minutes and report due-dates.
- Complete necessary Medicaid billing in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures.
Requirements :
Current licensure to practice as a Speech Language Therapist within the state of OhioCurrent Ohio Department of Education Certification (can be completed upon hire).CFY will be consideredExperience working as a Speech Language Therapist in a school or educational setting is preferred.Strong assessment and intervention planning skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.Passion for working with children and helping them overcome developmental, educational, and motor challenges.Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on the latest research and techniques in occupational therapy.Benefits :
