Description : SHUTTLE DRIVER
Reports To : Human Resources Manager
Department : Human Resources
Status : Full-Time / Part-Time Seasonal
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting employees to and from work using company passenger vans. Drivers perform daily operational checks, safely operate vehicles within posted speed limits and practice defensive driving appropriate for road and varying weather conditions. Drivers run routes to scheduled times and make stops at the local grocery store, employee housing locations, and other stops as needed. Drivers also provide periodic employee transportation to / from Denver International Airport and other locations outside Grand County.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Operates passenger vans following all motor vehicle laws of the State of Colorado and in accordance with the Company Vehicle Use Policy.
- Complete pre-operational vehicle checks before each shift.
- Communicates delays in running routes in a timely manner.
- Responsible for removing trash and sweeping floors of shuttle van daily and performing detailed cleaning bi-weekly (or as assigned) including wiping down seats, washing windows inside and out, cleaning cup holders, dashboard, floors, and exterior.
- Interacts with passengers in a professional, friendly manner, and clearly communicates timelines for grocery and day off shuttle stops. Reports any passenger conflict immediately to HR Manager.
- Assists Facilities team in directing cars in parking lots and shuttling guests from parking lots to Base Lodge on weekends and holiday periods.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assists with upkeep of Base Lodge Patio and front entrance including snow shoveling, organizing patio furniture, and picking up trash that didn’t make it to the receptacle.Maintains an exceptional level of guest service in all interaction with guests, fellow employees, and management.Assists and supports other departments for races, events and operations on high volume days.Other duties as assigned.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES :
Ability to safely drive at night and in varying winter weather conditions.Talking to others to convey information effectively.Actively look for ways to help people.Requirements :
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS :
Must be at least 25 years old.Must have a valid US Driver’s License and clear motor vehicle record check.Must have at least 5 years of driving experience.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS :
Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, push, shovel snow, carry.Shifts range from 6am – 10pm (later on New Year's Eve).Shifts may require work on weekends, evenings, and holidays.This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications associated with the job.
