Job descriptionFloat Pool RN position at Riverside Medical Center Float between MedSurg / Tele / Stepdown units Department : Float Pool | RN Common diagnoses include acute surgical, ortho / neuro, med surg, detox, hospice, and respiratory illness. Must have EPIC experience Preferred travel experience Must have IL license in hand 2+ years of experience required No first time traveler for float pool Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Preferred) 5-5, 12-hour shifts Weekend Requirements : Every other Holiday Requirements : Every other Call in for assignment no more than 1 hour before shift Nurse : Patient Ratios : 1 : 5-6, IMCU 1 : 5 Charge Nurse : Team Lead during the day on each unit - does not take patients Are RNs required to titrate drips? : No, only heparin per protocol Common titratable : Heparin, lasix. IMCU would titrate amio, cardizem, dobutamine, lasix, insulin All submissions required Drivers License to be considered Facility requires clinical prescreen Hiring manager has 24-hours to accept / decline candidate Scrub Color : Caribbean blue Unit / Department specific orientation : 1-12 hour shift on one unit
