This position is for a LEGAL ASSISTANT / CASE MANAGER who will be the first line of contact for the Clients and who is in charge of ensuring the case progresses smoothly, efficiently and within a reasonable period of time.

Compensation : 17 - $25 hourly
Responsibilities :
Being the first face of the company by speaking with our clients with a friendly personality, and tending to clients’ needs with compassion and promptnessArticulating the court process, steps and status to the clients so they know where they are in the process and what’s nextMaking sure there is always a “next step” in the case that is being performed so the case does not get stalledEnsuring that no deadlines are missed; that Clients and attorneys are prepared for the hearings; and that you keep the case moving along toward completionHandle office correspondence and administrative tasks such as responding to emails and phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, and letting the team know about upcoming deadlinesGathering important information and records so we can prepare documentsCalendaring due dates and following through to ensure none are missedManaging Google Drive documents (correctly labeling, organizing and sending to clients)Monitoring the Client Portal and replying to messages or directing them to themMeet your minimum weekly billable hour requirementsQualifications :
Associate’s degree or equivalent2+ years minimum prior experience in a family law environment as a secretary or administrative assistant, or demonstrate a solid understanding of the family law process / proceduresExcellent organizational and project management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsApplicant must be able to type 50 words per minute or fasterMust have a positive attitude, be coachable, and be willing to learnMust live within commuting distance to the Ontario, CA area or have independent plans for relocationApplicant must have worked with legal software, case management and calendaring programs and be comfortable with using various windows and monitors on a computerAbility to comfortably use Google Suite productsAbout Company
