Overview
Optometric Technician - Part Time - Training Provided! Clarkson Eyecare is hiring for this role. This summary describes the position and how the Optometric Technician supports a world class Total Patient Experience by performing initial testing with optical equipment to prepare patients for an exam with an Optometrist.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA
- Practice urgency at all times, valuing both the patient's time and the doctor's schedule
- Operate manual lensometer, auto-lensometer, autorefractor / keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT
- Follow scripting for testing equipment (photos, visual fields, visual activity, etc.)
- Clean all examination equipment including tonometer tip
- Interact with all levels of staff in a courteous, professional manner
- Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned by the manager
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, patient-focused work environment
- Commit to work hours that meet business needs, which may include weekends, schedule changes, or extended schedules
Qualifications
Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferredMinimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers / patients, or equivalent combination of education and experienceFavorable result on a background check as required by stateMust provide proof of identity and right to work in the United StatesEducation and / or Experience
High school diploma or GED requiredLicenses and Credentials
