ABOUT THE ROLE

POAH Communities is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as a Portfolio Accountant .  The individual will work from our Kansas City office and will be responsible for the accounting, financial reporting and cash management of a group of properties in the POAH Communities portfolio.

ABOUT YOUR IMPACT

• Execute the financial and operational objectives established by the company and ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws is maintained.
• Assist with the preparation of annual property budgets and meet additional annual goals as determined by the Accounting Manager and the VP of Finance and Accounting.
• Devote the majority of his / her time in delivering monthly operational and corporate accounting information.
• Prepare work product for public auditing firms and work effectively with the auditors to produce high quality information.
• Provide a high degree of customer service to POAH Communities colleagues and ensure that all of the accounting and related processing work is done with efficiency, timeliness and integrity.
• Seek opportunities to enhance communications and build collaborative relationships with supervisors, peers, subordinates and residents.
• Prepare for and attend regular meetings with the property management staff to present detailed reports on portfolio status.
• Complete other tasks assigned by the Accounting Manager and VP of Finance and Accounting.
