Description :

The System Administrator is responsible for administering and maintaining enterprise systems that support Orthopedic Care Partners’ clinical and business operations. Acting as the bridge between the Helpdesk and Engineering teams, this role focuses on hands-on administration of Microsoft 365, Cisco Webex, and other core enterprise applications.

The System Administrator ensures users, devices, and applications are properly configured, licensed, secured, and supported. Success in this role is measured by defined KPIs for uptime, compliance, and operational accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Administration & Operations :

  • Administer Microsoft 365 environment including user management, licensing, permissions, and security configuration.
  • Manage phone systems (e.g., Teams Voice or equivalent), including provisioning, call routing, and licensing.
  • Support user account creation, deprovisioning, and access control in Active Directory and related systems.
  • Manage SaaS and cloud platforms used across the organization, ensuring uptime and accurate licensing.
  • Monitor and maintain system health, applying updates and patches in alignment with policy.

Security & Compliance :

  • Enforce MFA and other identity security policies across Microsoft 365 and enterprise systems.
  • Ensure access controls and permissions align with compliance and least-privilege principles.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for system configurations and administrative activities.
  • Support compliance with HIPAA, PCI, and internal IT policies.
  • Reliability & Support

  • Serve as an escalation point between Helpdesk and Engineering for system-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to Microsoft 365, email, phone systems, and authentication.
  • Assist in backup verification and basic disaster recovery readiness checks.
  • Maintain accurate asset and license records within management systems.
  • Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work closely with Helpdesk to ensure smooth handoffs, clear escalation paths, and consistent user experiences.
  • Partner with System and Network Engineers on system integrations and configuration changes.
  • Document all administrative procedures, configurations, and incident resolutions.
  • Communicate planned changes, outages, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Requirements :

    Required Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience in systems administration or IT operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Experience managing enterprise phone systems (e.g., Teams Voice, Webex Calling, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and identity management concepts.
  • Strong understanding of user provisioning, licensing, and access management.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills with a focus on service reliability and end-user experience.
  • Experience working in healthcare or regulated industries preferred.
