Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and required certifications to work in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Position is based in an acute care environment within the Nuclear Medicine department
  • Day shifts, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week with potential weekend call
  • Department features 1 scanner and uses Siemens / D-Spect for cardiac imaging
  • Common procedures include cardiac, HIDA, bone, gastric, and VQ studies
  • Average daily workload is 3-8 scans
  • EMR is Cerner; prior experience with Cerner is preferred
  • Floating to other areas may be required
  • Responsibilities include performing a variety of nuclear medicine studies and starting IVs as needed
  • Siemens / D-Spect scanner is used for cardiac studies
  • A radiology supervisor or lead tech is present and support staff is available
  • Scrubs are required but not provided; candidates should supply their own
  • Holiday coverage may be required depending on department needs
  • Candidates cannot have been employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in the past year
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for eligibility

    • Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Active state license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted
  • Valid ARRT (NMT) or NMTCB certification and current BLS (AHA) certification required
  • Ability to work independently and start IVs
  • Must provide a copy of driver's license for consideration
  • Two recent, relevant professional references are required : one supervisor reference from the past 12 months, and one peer or supervisor reference from the past 3 years with employment dates and rehire eligibility
