Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and required certifications to work in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
Position is based in an acute care environment within the Nuclear Medicine departmentDay shifts, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week with potential weekend callDepartment features 1 scanner and uses Siemens / D-Spect for cardiac imagingCommon procedures include cardiac, HIDA, bone, gastric, and VQ studiesAverage daily workload is 3-8 scansEMR is Cerner; prior experience with Cerner is preferredFloating to other areas may be requiredResponsibilities include performing a variety of nuclear medicine studies and starting IVs as neededSiemens / D-Spect scanner is used for cardiac studiesA radiology supervisor or lead tech is present and support staff is availableScrubs are required but not provided; candidates should supply their ownHoliday coverage may be required depending on department needsCandidates cannot have been employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in the past yearCandidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for eligibilityRequirements
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine TechnologistActive state license required if applicable; pending licenses not acceptedValid ARRT (NMT) or NMTCB certification and current BLS (AHA) certification requiredAbility to work independently and start IVsMust provide a copy of driver's license for considerationTwo recent, relevant professional references are required : one supervisor reference from the past 12 months, and one peer or supervisor reference from the past 3 years with employment dates and rehire eligibilityBenefits
