Med / Surg Telemetry RN Job Details Location : Reno, NV 89502 Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Facility : Advanced regional medical center, Level II Trauma Center Unit : Telemetry T7 (38 beds) Start Date : December 15, 2025 End Date : March 15, 2026 Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract Shifts : 3x12 hour night shifts (18 : 45 – 07 : 15) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,780 - $1,910 Holiday Requirements : Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Eve Day = 1 holiday) Floating : May float to ICU, med-surg, or other hospital units as needed Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Nevada RN license (must be obtained prior to start) BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS (APEX) certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience Must pass a telemetry competency exam (including rhythm strip identification and measurement) Experience with open heart surgical patients preferred Ability to work weekends, holidays, and pick up one additional shift per 4-week schedule period Med / Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a 38-bed telemetry unit Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms; administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips (e.g., Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro) Care for patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, COVID-19, and post-procedure recovery (pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, OHS) Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including CNAs, Critical Care Techs, Advanced Care Techs, Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, and Respiratory Therapists Float to other hospital units as needed based on organizational requirements and competency Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, including family and caregiver involvement Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care in a busy, high-acuity healthcare environment Apply now to join our healthcare team in Reno, NV and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
