- What you will do :
- Respond to IT service requests via phone, email, or ticketing system, ensuring quick and courteous issue resolution.
- Serve as the escalation point for Level 1 Technicians to resolve complex hardware, software, and network problems.
- Set up and provision new users, including PC imaging, account creation, and access permissions.
- Support manufacturing-floor technology such as MES terminals, label printers, barcode scanners, and production PCs.
- Perform on-site troubleshooting and hardware replacement when remote tools aren't enough.
- Administer user and group accounts in Active Director and Microsoft 365, managing permissions and security.
- Perform basic network diagnostics and partner with senior IT staff for advanced issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and plant-floor equipment to minimize downtime.
- Assist with IT infrastructure and improvement projects including hardware refreshes, upgrades, and network expansion.
- Maintain accurate hardware inventory, configuration documentation, and IP assignments.
- Follow and enforce company safety, cybersecurity, and data-protection standards.
- Provide after-hours or weekend support as needed for maintenance or production emergencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Required Knowledge & Skills
- The IT Technician II must possess the following :
- Associate's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 10 / 11 desktop environments.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts - switches, VLANs, IP addressing and cabling.
- Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial IT systems preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify root causes and implement preventative solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively across production, engineering, and office teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm during production-critical incidents.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to nearby facilities when required.
- Comp TIA A+ and / or Network+ certifications preferred.
