The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst plays a key role in both the accuracy of financial reporting and the strategic analysis that drives business decisions. This hybrid position combines technical accounting, financial consolidation, and planning responsibilities to ensure the organization's financial data is both reliable and insightful. Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Manage and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls.
- Prepare and review consolidation journal entries, including intercompany eliminations, investment eliminations, and foreign currency translation adjustments.
- Compile, consolidate, and analyze financial data to support journal entries, trial balances, financial statements, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain and enhance consolidation-related activities such as chart of accounts structure, reporting hierarchies, intercompany mappings, and other process controls.
- Ensure all documentation and processes comply with company policies, SOX standards, and audit requirements.
Financial Planning & Analysis
Develop and maintain detailed financial models, forecasts, and budgets across the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and headcount.Provide accurate and timely reporting and insights for monthly and quarterly management reviews.Conduct variance and trend analysis, identifying opportunities to improve performance and profitability.Support strategic projects through scenario planning, sensitivity modeling, and business case development.Create dashboards and management reports that visualize performance metrics and key drivers.Process Improvement & Collaboration
Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Operations, and Leadership to align financial strategy with operational goals.Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and data integrity.Support automation and system optimization efforts to streamline the close and reporting cycle.Stay current on industry best practices and emerging finance technologies to maintain a forward-thinking function.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, or FP&A roles.Strong understanding of GAAP accounting, consolidation processes, and financial analysis.Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with financial modeling and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).Experience with ERP and consolidation systems (SAP, NetSuite, Workday, or similar).Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.Ideal candidate comes from Insurance Brokerage, Private Equity or Banking background.Why Join
