Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 24 / 2025, End : 2 / 23 / 2026) Healthcare Setting : Intermediate Care Unit (IMC2) Nursing Shift : 3x12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570-$1610 On-call Pay : $5 / hr, with weekend, floating, and holiday coverage required Orientation : 36 hours Charting System : Epic EMR Patient Ratio : 1 : 3 Patient Population : Adults and Geriatrics Unit Size : 12 beds PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 1.5-2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit RN experience Active Texas RN license or compact state nursing license required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA preferred; military acceptable) Epic charting experience required Must pass dysrhythmia exam within 2 attempts (study guide provided) Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered) First-time travel nurses welcome! PCU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in the Intermediate Care Unit Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions Administer medications, blood products, and manage central / PICC lines, chest tubes, and ventilated patients Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases; manage cardiac and insulin drips Provide care for patients with tracheostomies, feeding tubes, and substance withdrawal Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy Participate in rapid response / code teams and adhere to isolation precautions Float to other nursing units as needed and provide weekend / holiday coverage Discover rewarding travel nursing jobs in Dallas, Texas!
