Job Title : Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Float Pool)

Location : Atlanta, GA

Start Date / Duration : November 3, 2025 – January 31, 2026 (13 Weeks)

Job Type : Contract – Nursing

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join the Float Pool team. This position plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center environment. The nurse will primarily work in the Emergency Department but may float to other acute care units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a busy, high-acuity Emergency Department setting.
  • Triage, assess, and manage patients presenting with a variety of emergent medical conditions.
  • Utilize advanced life support and trauma nursing skills to stabilize and treat patients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely charting in the facility’s EMR system.

    Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license (Georgia or compact state).
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience in a large Level I trauma facility .
  • Certifications : BLS, ACLS, and TNCC (required).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Must provide a resume with no gaps , an ED skills checklist , and ED references upon submission.

  • Shift : Day shift
  • Weekly Hours : 36 per week
  • Contract Type : Daily OT after 24 hours; weekly OT after 40 hours (based on multiplier)
  • Schedule Type : Deferred schedule
  • On Call : No
  • Float Requirement : May float to other acute care units if necessary
  • Facility Type : Level I Trauma Center
  • Charting System : Epic (or facility standard)
