Position Specific Requirements
Perform pre-operation inspections on hand tools, backpack sprayers, small power tools, mechanical edgers, and bed redefiners to ensure safe operation.
Direct and oversee weeding of landscape beds using manual removal, selective herbicide applications, and mechanical cultivation.
Supervise mulch application, ensuring even coverage, proper depth, and integration with surrounding landscape elements.
Oversee removal of litter, debris, and dead plant material from beds while implementing preventative maintenance practices.
Maintain precise bed edges using manual tools, power edgers, and bed redefiners to ensure consistent site aesthetics.
Apply and oversee pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicide treatments, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and application best practices.
Diagnose and manage common weed, pest, and disease issues, developing treatment plans as needed.
Plan and adjust bed maintenance workflows to optimize labor and materials while maintaining high-quality results.
Train and mentor crew leaders and crew members on advanced bed maintenance techniques and efficiency strategies.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including herbicide handling, PPE usage, and equipment safety procedures.
