Overview
Job Title : Swim Instructor / Lifeguard
Reports to : Deck Supervisor
FLSA Status : Non-Exempt
Summary : Works as part of a team to instruct children how to be safe in and around the water. Curriculum focuses on using fun and games to facilitate confidence and learning. Paid training provided. Participates in monthly team-building meetings and events to hone lifesaving skills and build workplace culture. This is a part-time job. After training, you may only receive between 4 to 12 hours a week. Once you\'ve proven yourself to be a reliable team member, you can earn more shifts if you want them. Opportunities for professional development and bonuses are plentiful in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities
Safety Standards
The safety of our swimmers, parents and team members is of the utmost importance. Goldfish Swim School follows all CDC and WHO safety standards along with following any local guidelines.
Education / Experience
Must be at least 15 years old to apply. Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor / coach, camp counselor and / or childcare provider preferred but not required. Swimming experience is preferred. Clear background check is required.
Certificates and Licenses
CPR, AED and First Aid certification required within 90 days of hire.
Work Environment
While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
