JOB SUMMARY – HOSPITAL BASED M-F 7a-5p

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Anesthesiologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients throughout surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of various medical disciplines, including perioperative care, critical care, and pain management. The Anesthesiologist will work closely with surgeons and other medical professionals to provide optimal patient outcomes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures while monitoring vital signs and adjusting anesthesia levels as needed.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to develop individualized anesthesia care plans based on patient assessments.
  • Conduct pre-operative evaluations, including patient history reviews and physical examinations.
  • Manage post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) protocols, ensuring patients recover safely from anesthesia.
  • Provide acute pain management solutions for patients post-surgery.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
  • Active DEA
  • Active BLS, PALS, and ACLS
  • Proficiency in airway management techniques and critical care experience is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology related to anesthetic
  • practices.
  • Experience with EHR systems effectively for documentation and patient tracking.
  • EDUCATION

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Anesthesiology.
  • CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE

  • Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiologists.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
  • Active DEA
  • Active BLS, PALS, and ACLS
  • KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Familiarity with various medical imaging modalities and interventional radiology practices is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
