Position Title : Logistician III
Location : Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), Philadelphia, PA
Clearance Requirement : Department of Defense Secret Clearance (Active or Interim)
Work Schedule : Forty hour work week schedule with some overtime allowed. Approximately 95% on-site at NSWCPD; up to 5% travel as required.
Contingency : This position is contingent upon contract award
NSWCPD, the Navy’s center for excellence for ships and ship-systems, is seeking a highly qualified Logistician III to support business operations at the Compatibility Test Facility (CTF). The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in logistics, program support, and supply chain management, along with knowledge of Navy operations and organizational processes. This position is contingent upon the award of the contract.
Key Responsibilities :
The Logistician III will provide comprehensive logistics support aligned with NSWCPD’s CTF Business Operations Support efforts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Supporting programmatic and operational logistics activities for assigned projects.
- Managing and coordinating supply programs and inventory to ensure operational readiness.
- Performing records management, documentation, and reporting tasks to maintain compliance with Navy and NSWCPD standards.
- Providing input for financial management, analysis, and resource planning related to logistics activities.
- Collaborating with Quality Management and Continuous Improvement teams to enhance efficiency of logistics processes.
- Supporting manpower, personnel, and training (MP&T) functions, including planning and maintaining logistics-related training and certification programs.
- Contributing to planned maintenance, configuration management, and metrics tracking associated with logistics operations.
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with NAVSEA and Fleet organization policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent validation / certification through U.S. Military service in Junior Officer or Non-Commissioned Officer / Enlisted ( E4 or above ) logistics billets, or Navy Enlisted Classification Codes (NECs).Experience : Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience as a logistician supporting supply programs or projects.Knowledge : Working knowledge of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), and / or Fleet organizations.Skills : Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.Note : This position is contingent upon contract award.
