The Department of Marketing, Industrial Distribution, and Economics (MIDE) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the assistant or associate professor level. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an active record of high-quality research, effective teaching, and a commitment to a collegial academic environment. While primary teaching responsibilities will be in Distribution courses, applications from candidates whose qualifications also support contributions to the closely related undergraduate marketing and MBA programs will be especially well received.

About the Charles and Patsy Collat Distribution Program
The Charles and Patsy Collat Distribution (DB) Program at UAB was established in 1993 and is the university’s first endowed academic program, offering two specialized degree tracks :
The Distribution program has a strong record of success built on high standards for student admission, endowed funding, and active research collaborations with industry partners.
