CSET's Sequoia Community Corps Case Management Department is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide case management to Corpsmembers between the ages of 18-26 years old. The right candidate will be able to work in a high-functioning environment with a diverse population. The Case Management team is responsible to process program eligibility, enrollments, exits, follow-ups, etc. They will assist trainees with transitional job services, resources, and in assisting them with finding unsubsidized employment. Strong communication, writing, time management, and comprehension skills are a must. Must be able to work with little to no supervision.
SCOPE OF WORK :
The purpose of this position is to provide residents with vocational counseling and career planning assistance. The incumbent of this position is responsible to recruit potential customers or employers, providing outreach in low-income communities as well as determining program eligibility and enrollment.
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Collects organizes and analyzes information about individuals through records, tests, interviews, and professional sources, to appraise their interests, aptitudes, abilities, and personal characteristics for vocational planning
- Maintains case management files, documents contact with customers, employers, school staff, and other partners and provide all required documentation in a timely manner
- Monitors and maintains program enrollments to ensure full crews and a robust list of potential candidates
- Maintains attendance and safety records
- Maintains the inventory of safety equipment, uniforms, and program field supplies
- Prepares and modifies documents including correspondence, reports, memos, and emails
- Serves as a customer liaison responding to customer problems, questions, or concerns and coordinates with the proper agency personnel to provide timely and accurate answers for the customers
- Follow-up with customers and agencies as appropriate to document the use / success of referrals
- Provides documentation to partnering agencies
- Inputs accurate and complete data for all contacts with customers into the agency database
- Facilitates one-to-one counseling, case management, orientations, and workshops to assist in preparation for job readiness, assist with resume building, and help participants navigate the labor market
- Remains updated on occupational and local labor market information, program requirements, and regulations affecting participants and employers
- Refers customers to other program resources as applicable
- Compiles and studies occupational, educational, and economic information to aid in making and carrying out vocational and educational objectives
- Participates in outreach events and meetings with partner agencies as assigned
- Participates in training and professional development to build the required knowledge for the position
- Performs other duties including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures
