Location : Houston, TX (travel may be required to cover multiple locations). This role involves direct patient interaction, specimen collection and processing, and ensuring accurate labeling and documentation in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients and supports health routine activities and life-defining health decisions.
- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.
- Interact with patients to explain procedures and create an atmosphere of trust, performing phlebotomy in a safe and accurate manner.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- May be assigned to a doctors office, a patient service center, or as business needs dictate.
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing in accordance with established practices and procedures.
- Verify patient demographic information and initials post-venipuncture to ensure tubes are labeled correctly and in the patients presence.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.Excellent phlebotomy skills for pediatric and geriatric patients.Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.Commitment to all Policies & Procedures including dress code, employee health & safety, and company values.Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.Must have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record if applicable.Travel and flexible hours required to work at multiple locations with short notice.Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.Superior customer focus with open and transparent communication with peers, supervisors and patients; ability to adapt to change and understand the business.Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is preferred.Keyboard / data entry experience.Shift / Time Zone : Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm.Benefits
