Revenue Cycle Coordinator

Overview

Cameo Dental Specialists is excited to welcome a driven and meticulous Revenue Cycle Coordinator to our dynamic team. Working closely under the guidance of the Revenue Cycle Supervisor, you will take on crucial responsibilities within the revenue cycle, including charge entry, payment posting, accounts receivable follow-up, and denials management, all aligned with our center's policies and procedures. Your role is essential in supporting accurate financial practices, ensuring timely reimbursements, and enhancing overall operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Liaise with insurance providers to clarify patients' coverage and resolve disputes regarding rejected claims.

Thoroughly review and interpret EOBs to identify payment discrepancies.

Manage aging reports for assigned payors and work collaboratively to resolve outstanding accounts.

Communicate updates to billing and coding guidelines to providers and their respective specialties.

Make necessary adjustments to incorrectly billed services, add missing unbilled services, and correct CDT codes as required.

Confirm the correct application of the fee schedule.

Collaborate with operational teams to assist with coding and reimbursement, help identify issues with incorrect claims, and draft appeal letters when necessary.

Post insurance payments accurately and apply appropriate contractual write-offs.

Analyze and resolve complex accounts efficiently.

Communicate with patients regarding co-payments, insurance shortfalls, outstanding balances, and related billing matters.

Clearly explain dental and medical insurance plan benefits.

Engage effectively with general dental offices, insurance companies, patients, and others concerning insurance benefits and procedure-related costs.

Multitask effectively while managing various assignments and deadlines.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Two years' experience in billing / collections within a healthcare or dental environment.

Preferred :

Knowledge of dental and / or oral surgery operations.

The salary range for this role is $23-$25 per hour.
