This Opportunity

FPA is currently searching for a full-time Senior Staff Engineer in our Bridge department at our Boston, MA office. As a member of FPA’s Bridge Department, you will be part of a dynamic team of industry professionals, operating in a fast-paced, competitive environment. The ideal candidate will be able to integrate quickly with the team and provide detail-oriented and organized support to aid the department’s ongoing activities and pursuits.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and support the design and analysis of bridge structures, including conceptual design, detailed design, and load-rating analysis using industry-standard software and methods.
• Assist in the management of bridge design projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with client specifications, codes, and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to junior engineers and support the development of innovative design solutions that meet project objectives.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the design meets their needs and expectations and provide technical support throughout project phases.
• Review design calculations, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, civil, and environmental engineers, to deliver integrated solutions for bridge projects.
• Stay current on industry trends, new technologies, and evolving regulations to ensure designs are innovative and compliant with the latest standards.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $105,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
