POSITION TITLE : Retail Cash Register Associate

DEPARTMENT : Front End

REPORTS TO : Customer Service Manager / Bookkeeper

FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY : As a Retail Cash Register Associate, you will efficiently and courteously operate a cash register and check-stand while adhering to all front-end procedures and company policies. You will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt and courteous service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Accurately and efficiently scan grocery orders.
• Identify and correct any issues with non-scanning items.
• Use effective scanning and bagging techniques to enhance efficiency and fulfill customer preferences.
• Count and secure your cash drawer before your shift starts.
• Process various forms of payment accurately while adhering to company cash control policies.
• Follow void procedures precisely.
• Identify produce items correctly and input their respective lookup codes.
• Uphold security policies, including those related to shoplifting and associate purchases.
• Maintain knowledge of store supply procedures.
• Stay informed about weekly promotions and featured items.
• Deliver outstanding customer service with warm greetings and sincere thanks.
• Comply with all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
