What You'll Do :
As a SPED Teacher, you'll be a key player in helping students reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include :
- IEP Champion : Designing, supervising, and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet each student's unique needs.
- Schedule Superstar : Creating and coordinating student schedules, making sure they connect with related services and general education opportunities.
- Data Detective : Collecting and analyzing student data to monitor progress and make informed instructional decisions.
- Team Collaborator : Working effectively with a large team of professionals (therapists, counselors, etc.) to coordinate comprehensive services.
- Lifelong Learner : Participating in staff development training focused on best practices for working with students with special needs.
- Innovation Implementer : Bringing state-of-the-art strategies to life in the classroom, creating engaging and effective learning experiences.
What You'll Need :
We're looking for someone who has :
A Bachelor's degree in Special Education, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 18 credits in special education and 6 credits in education theory.A Pennsylvania Special Education certificate, or a Pennsylvania Private Academic certification with the ability to attain public certification within one year of hire.1-3 years of experience working with students with autism or emotional support (student teaching counts!).A demonstrated ability to create a classroom where every student feels supported and challenged.The ability to obtain and maintain agency physical management certification credentials (we'll help with that!).Salary :
