• Work on a 36-bed telemetry unit with patient ratios of 4 : 1 with cath recovery, maximum 6 : 1 ratio (may occasionally stretch to 7 : 1)
• Schedule includes every other weekend requirement
• Float first policy applies to agency staff (may float to Ortho / Med-Surg units)
• Work with remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps
• Use Meditech documentation system
• PCTs available on day and night shifts, unit clerks available on day shift
• Must have telemetry experience
• Advanced skills needed include knowledge of chest tubes and dysthymia training
• Perform procedures including chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis and thoracentesis
• Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH
• Dress code allows any scrubs except camo
• Must follow telemetry monitoring policy and stroke policy
