CNC Programmer II

Position Details :
- This position will be In-Office
- Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
- $27.00 - $47.00 an hour / DOE
Primary Function :
Programs, sets up, and operates CNC milling, lathe, or other machinery according to blueprint specifications, handling moderately complex parts independently.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities :
Utilizes G or M code and CAM software proficiently for 2D / 3D toolpathsAnalyzes engineering drawings, blueprints, models, and design data to develop CNC programs, setup sheets, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed ratesApplies GD&T from complex blueprints accuratelyTests accuracy of settings and programs independentlyConfigures tools and ensures efficient production for moderately complex partsReviews designs for manufacturability and suggests improvementsInspects parts using precision measuring tools within tight tolerancesOperates machines independently and monitors operation, making adjustments as neededMentors entry-level programmers and machinistsCollaborates across teams to ensure successful project outcomesAssists with process documentationFollows all safe work practices & safety rulesCommunicates recommendations to modify processes to improve productivity and qualityFollow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.Education and Experience : (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
Works independently on day-to-day programming tasksSolid understanding of CNC programming properties and methodsProficient in Mastercam and / or HypermillStrong understanding of GD&T symbols and their applicationStrong written and verbal English language communication skillsExcellent teamwork / interpersonal skills and proven ability to mentor othersPass a post-offer background verificationDemonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core ValuesWork Environment :
Standard machine shop environment with various types of machinery. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
