Overview

The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering is seeking a visiting faculty member. Candidates must have an outstanding record of accomplishment and have an interest in collaborative research. General Purpose : This position supports the teaching mission of the department, fills research gaps and contributes to departmental and university service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and teach engineering courses that satisfy the department's teaching mission.
• Contribute expertise in research that complements the department's strategic initiatives in process systems engineering, biomaterials, plasma engineering, electrochemistry, energy and semiconductor processing.
• Advise students on their career paths.
• Be willing to contribute and lead departmental and university committees.
• Cultivate a safe, respectful environment for student achievement.
• Assist with other projects, administrative duties, and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Minimal Qualifications

A PhD degree in chemical engineering or a related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

A Ph.D. in chemical engineering or related fields, including a strong publication record and interest in teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses.

Experience

Minimal Qualifications

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge / experience in chemical engineering.

Preferred Qualification :

Experience with teaching or assisting teaching a chemical engineering course.
