Job Title : Facilities Management Technician

The State of Colorado is seeking a Facilities Management Technician to join the team in the Denver Metro area. This full-time position offers a salary range of $24.45 to $29.34 per hour and is open only to Colorado state residents.

This position is responsible for responding in person to after-hours call backs to perform essential and / or emergency services of the agency. The technician will troubleshoot and correct building client issues during normal operating hours, working at and traveling to various facilities including Colorado Mental Health Hospital at Fort Logan, Wheat Ridge Regional Center, and the Division of Youth Services facilities.

Key duties include general building maintenance such as wall repair, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC troubleshooting, and minor building security issues. The technician will also perform administrative tasks, including work order systems, labor tracking, and monthly reports. This role requires a valid, non-restricted Colorado drivers license and the ability to work various hours, including shift work and call backs.

Applicants must have four years of building maintenance experience, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, HVAC, and ground maintenance. A combination of related education, formalized apprenticeships, and relevant experience can substitute for the required experience. This position requires a full pre-employment criminal background check, and the ability to pass a Tuberculosis test and receive an annual influenza vaccination.
