RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Qualified Mental Health Associate ( QMHA ) plays a central role in supporting individuals and families through the navigation of mental health services and community resources. The position is embedded within a culturally responsive, community-based clinical team and emphasizes bilingual ( Spanish and English ) communication, equity, and holistic support.

The Culturally specific QMHA acts as a liaison between clients and healthcare providers, ensuring smooth access to services, community programs, and other supportive resources. This includes case management, intake coordination, group facilitation, and administrative responsibilities related to documentation and reporting.   • Provide personalized case management &care coordination support, connecting families with services and benefits (e.g., crisis support, health plans)
  • Facilitate or co-lead support groups aligned with treatment goals
  • Maintain knowledge of available community and crisis resources
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in the e lectronic h ealth r ecord system
  • Ensure timely documentation and submission of reports related to grant s and compliance

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Strong commitment to the mission of the organization, environmental sustainability, employee well-being, and support for immigrant and BIPOC communities.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with a wide range of people, including excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Bachelor's degree in social services, Public Health , or related field, or Certification in Community Health Work and eligibility for QMHA -R designation through MHACBO .
  • Bilingual-Bicultural in Spanish / English required .
  • Previous experience doing case management or navigation support, preferably in a community mental health clinical setting.
  • Ability to work independently and flex schedule to meet family's needs and deadlines.
  • 1-year minimum implementing and / or facilitating projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office , Canva, and electronic health records system.
  • Knowledge and previous experience with office equipment , including photocopying, faxing, and scanning etc.
  • Possess CBR under Office of Childcare and be eligible to pass ORCHARDS background check .
  • Additional Requirements :

  • Ability to work on evenings and weekends may be required depending on program needs.
  • Reliable transportation to Forest Grove & Hillsboro , Oregon , and to attend workshops or trainings in the Pacific Northwest region.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance :
  • Provide community-based support and clinic-based services in and outside the clinic, utilize personal transportation to maximize availability
  • SALARY & BENEFITS :

  • Salary range : $ 24.20 - $26.00 per hour , depending on qualifications
  • Classification : Full-time hourly , typical 40-hour work week
  • Telework : up to 1 day a week , depending on program needs
