Job Title : Building Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance, corrective, and emergency repairs on all utility systems and equipment.
• Operate and maintain all physical plant equipment including chillers, boilers, air handlers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, and control systems.
• Utilize the Computer Maintenance Management System to document all work performed throughout the building.
• Comply with Lockout Tag-out policy when working on equipment and utility systems.
• Conduct general building repairs, painting / patching, plumbing, lights, and minor electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Ensure mechanical areas are clean and maintain a safe working environment.
• Respond immediately to emergencies involving essential utilities and equipment during working hours and remain onsite until the emergency is resolved.
• Act as a member of the Facility Engineering On-call service team responsible for responding to all after-hours building emergencies during the assigned week.
• Keep the Manager of Facilities Maintenance informed about significant issues and seek counsel when necessary.
• Maintain skills, licensure, regulatory requirements, and credentials needed to perform assigned duties.
• Oversee the operation, repairs, and preventative maintenance of all equipment and utility systems.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and standards.
• Work with and monitor outside contractors to ensure work is completed in accordance with required standards.
• Monitor and report on all project work associated with the facility.
• Maintain necessary parts and supplies to ensure timely repairs.
• Submit and enter parts and supply requests for approval.
